A STOCKBROKER is investing in a new office in Blackburn.
W H Ireland, chaired by former Rossendale and Darwen MP Sir David Trippier, has set up the new base on Preston New Road.
The office will be managed by Pat Young and Paul Smith who have both worked for local stockbroking firms.
"Pat and Paul will give us an excellent position within an expanding community in the heart of Lancashire," said chief executive Laurie Beevers.
"The ideal combination of experience and youthful enthusiasm will enable a rapid expansion of this office."
W H Ireland, which has a group turnover of around £5 million, has offices in Manchester, London, Colwyn Bay, Fareham, Malvern and Thorpe Bay.
In 1997 it achieved the business of Manchester stockbrokers John Siddall & Son.
