I AGREED with every word of Neil Bramwell about England against Poland (LET, September 9). It was just like watching an end of season match when there was nothing much to play for.

We hear so much about wearing the three lions with pride, but apart from Tony Adams and Martin Keown, the rest - well, words escape me.

As for Shearer, his days must be numbered. To take Robbie Fowler off even though he did miss one or two chances, was a bad mistake by Keegan.

One of the reasons why English football is so poor at present is because of all the foreign players in the Premiership. It happened in cricket and is now affecting football in the same way.
