SOCCER: Huncoat United U16s reversed an unlucky 2-1 defeat away at Rishton in midweek with a nail-biting win in the U16s cup. lan Heys was the scorer at Rishton. On Sunday Robert Addison and John Cunliffe levelled the score after Blackburn Academy went two up. After extra time HUFC won 6-5 on penalties. Scorers were Sean Love, Stuart Elliott, Ian Heys, Robert Addison, Frankie Stewart and Andy Baker.

The U11s won 5-2 away at Akzo with two from James Dunne (man of the match), two from Lloyd Coleman and one from Joe Roberts.

The U13s lost 4-1 to Ossy Juniors, Jonathan Pearce scored, Simon Cottam was man of the match. The U10s drew 4-4 away to Blackburn Boys Reserves with a hat trick from McCarthy and Lee Kenyon scoring the other goal. Ref's man of the match was Thomas Dunne. The U15s lost 6-3 to Waterfoot. Adam Laycock scoring a hat trick. Ref's man of the match was Matthew Woodcock, manager's man of the match Jamie Hird. The U14s had a fine 12-0 won over Newfield Utd with hat tricks from Neville Nelson (man of the match), E O'Neill and J Allen, two goals from David Usman and one from Sam Heap.

The U12s beat Gt Harwood Rovers 4-0 (L Hickey 2, D Mooring and L Stinson, man of the match), and Langho 5-2 (L Hickey, L Stinson, M Waddington, M Stephenson, D Burrell. D Mooring was man of the match).
