ATHERTON COLLS and Atherton LR are booked for a mouth-watering FA Vase September 25 clash at Crilly Park.
It follows Colls' storming 1st Qualifying Round 3-1 win over Northumbrian side Shildon.
They fell behind on 25 minutes, but goals from Mark Jones, Gary Andrews and a Mark Fitton penalty set up what should be a cracking derby.
Striker Alan Shawcross in his first start of the campaign was named MoM.
But defender Matt Walker had an afternoon he will want to forget, having come on as sub and been red carded late on.
In midweek Colls stormed back to winning ways with a 4-3 win at Cheadle Town, Liam Boden, Dougie Owen, Luke Hardman and Chris Arnold on target.
ATHERTON LR are still seeking their first win of the season.
But their showing in a 3-1 home loss to Kidsgrove (their seventh defgeat in eight games) was much improved and featured a fine debut by goalkeeper Mark Winstanley.
LR began brightly, pushing forward and looking for an early strike which came in 12 minutes. Leon Diaczuk collected a cross, beat a defender and belted the ball home.
Chris Brookes twice went close, Scott Dowd had a header beaten away.
Kidsgrove had failed to threaten. Suddenly, however, it all changed with a 37th minute equaliser and a goal a minute into the second half, that with LR pleading in vain for offside.
LR continued to dominate; Danny Pilling went close and three times they hit the post.
It just wasn't their day.
In midweek LR crashed to a 4-0 defeat at Nantwich.
