DID I miss something? Was last week 'have a go at the elderly week?'
Firstly, the lady from Bare who wrote that: we are turning Happy Mount Park into a place for the elderly to the detriment of local children. The elderly are the grandads and grandmas who take children to parks.
Secondly the Skertonian residents who ask: why do OAPs buy lottery tickets? We like a bit of fun an d anticipation, that's why. And guess what, if an OAP won the first thing on the agenda would be his or her family.
If I won a million I would achieve a long held ambition and provide a community centre in the centre of town for the elderly.
