NEW developments at Leigh Infirmary will be on view to the public next month.
On Saturday, October 9, tours of departments ranging from the Mary Sheridan Centre to the brand new Hazelmere Unit will be made.
Wigan and Leigh Health Services NHS Trust spokesman Veronica Swinburne explained: "We are proud of the excellent services at Leigh Infirmary but many people are not aware of improvements and developments that have taken place.
"We want to share these achievements with the community and make people more aware of the vital role Leigh Infirmary plays in health care provision in the borough."
Groups and individuals will have the chance to tour the hospital on 90-minute sessions with tea and coffee afterwards. A display area will feature information about specialist organisations and careers. The event begins at 10am with the final tour at 2.30pm.
Anyone wishing to take part should call 01942 822217 during office hours.
