THOUSANDS of fish were killed in another East Lancashire pollution disaster.
Gallons of trade effluent poured into Colne Water after a sewer collapsed at Knotts Lane at Colne - just two miles downstream from the caustic soda flood which killed all life in the river at Laneshawbridge earlier in the year.
This time detergent from AIN Chemicals poured into the river, creating a three-foot layer of foam.
