BURY'S eight remaining Kosovar families are settling into their new homes in the town.
After 12 weeks of being accommodated at the Geoffrey Kershaw Centre in Maxwell Street, the 36 refugees have moved into properties in the Chesham Fold and Fairfield areas of Bury.
The Kosovars will remain in the houses until next June when their temporary British citizenship will be reviewed.
Those who have remained have done so mainly on medical grounds.
Bury played host to 82 refugees in June. Ten immediately moved to London to be with family. Half returned to Kosovo last month to begin rebuilding their lives.
