BURNLEY are to look again at the players' kit sponsorship scheme they have scrapped this season.
The existing system whereby companies and individuals sponsored the players was not making any money once the costs of printing the details in the match-day programme and hosting a kit sponsorship party were taken into account.
However the club may revive the idea in the future by displaying the names of players' backers elsewhere.
THE Clarets are to produce a video of the club's history.
The film, which will detail Burnley's fortunes from 1920 to the modern day, will be available in time for Christmas.
BURNLEY chairman Barry Kilby has told fans that the club is looking at ways of improving the Centre Spot to make it more attractive for supporters on and off match-day.
The club has also taken steps to improve the taste of the Turf Moor meat pies after complaints from supporters. They currently sell 3,000 a match.
THE CLUB is pressing ahead with improvements to the accommodation for disabled fans at Turf Moor with the installation of an all-weather cover.
THE CLARETS are operating a 'kid-a-quid' scheme for their televised home game against Scunthorpe United on Sunday, October 10.
Tickets for the James Hargreaves Stand lower tier go on sale from Monday until 5pm on Saturday, October 9 and will not be available on the day of the game.
Supporters who present their ticket at the Clarets community office between September 20 and October 23 will then receive £2 off a Junior Claret and Blue membership.
Becoming a member for just £10.50 will gives young fans free tickets, discounts, gifts and letters from the players.
THE CLARETS Football in the Community Porgramme is launching a new soccer clinic at Turf Moor Leisure Centre on Sunday mornings.
The courses for boys and girls aged 6-12 teach new skills with a qualified coach and offer small-sided games and refreshments. The cost is the same as the Monday and Wednesday clincis at £2.50.
ANY five-a-side teams interested in playing five-a-side at the Turf Moor leisure centre should contact the club's community office.
