INDIE rockers Pigeon Smith are hoping to build on their six hometown performances at the Colne Rhythm and Blues Festival when they play the town's North Valley Hotel on Friday.
The band, whose average age is just 16, is led by singer and guitarist Lee Mathews, from Nelson. Bassist Kieran Crimmins and drummer Keiron Melling, both from Colne, complete the line-up.
The group say they have developed a richer, deeper sound, and plan to record a four-track demo CD by the end of the year.
