TWO more priests have been committed to Preston Crown Court on indecency charges arising out of police investigations centring on St Mary's Hall, Stonyhurst.
Clifford Alfred George Taunton, 83, of St Wilfred's Presbytery, Winckley Square, Preston, was committed on three charges of indecently assaulting a boy under the age of 14 on dates between 1975 and 1979.
George Hughes Earle, 74, of Marshall Street, Belgravia, Johannesburg, South Africa, but currently living at Sacred Heart Church, Talbot Road, Blackpool, faces four charges of indecently assaulting boys under the age of 14 on dates in 1964 and 1971.
