GIAN Luca Cavallo attacked two strangers because he thought they had made rude gestures towards him.
Blackburn magistrates heard that he punched in a car window, showering two men with glass, before repeatedly punching one of them in the face.
Cavallo, 24, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to criminal damage and two charges of assault and was remanded in custody until October 4, for the preparation of pre-sentence reports.
Emma Kehoe, prosecuting, said the two victims, Matthew Jones and Lesley Davies, were strangers to Darwen.
They were sat in a car when Cavallo started punching the window.
Cavallo claimed they had made gestures at him.
