A COURSE to give people a practical guide to Christianity is on offer throughout East Lancashire this autumn.
St Anne's Church, Fence, is one of more than 7,000 churches across Britain which will take part in the Alpha course, open to parishioners and non-churchgoers.
Course leader Anne-Louise Bond said: "Alpha is available to anyone who is interested in finding out about the Christian faith. It crosses all denominations and there are no exclusions.
"We welcome non-churchgoers and those who wouldn't call themselves Christians.
"The course will run once a week for around two months and is absolutely free.
"We have linked up with Wheatley Lane Methodist Church, the Inghamite Church and St Mary's, Newchurch-in-Pendle, but the course is also available at many other churches across the region. It proved very successful when we held it last year."
An introduction to the course will be at St Anne's on October 7. For information contact Anne-Louise Bond on 01282 771208 or co-leader Helen Kitchen on 01282 694065.
