HEALTH bosses were given a tonic today with more than £100,000 to improve mental health services for children and young adults.
The extra cash will boost child and adolescent mental health services in the East Lancashire Health Authority area.
Another £37,000 has been given to Blackburn with Darwen Council to improve services.
Bev Humphrey, director of strategic planning and commissioning, said the health authority was delighted at the allocation of £111,000.
She said: "We would like to pay tribute to voluntary sector and social services which have worked with the health authority to put proposals forward.
"These resources will enable us to move forward with our determination to improve mental health services for children and young adults."
