THE buyer of medals which belonged to an Accrington Pals war hero considered allowing them to be displayed in Hyndburn.
Company director David Hill, from Wakefield, had been reported as saying he would allow the medals to be loaned to the borough council for one month a year. He had bought the medals at Sotheby's for £2,860.
