A MAJOR 80 new jobs boost for Burnley has been announced by car seat manufacturer Viktor Achter.
The Rossendale Road estate, which already employs a 500-strong workforce in the town, is looking for multi-skilled sewing machinists in a three-month recruitment drive.
The firm has a 200-strong works team in the machining department, sewing various parts of car interior seating from covers to headrests.
The company, established 11 years ago, has contracts with Ford, Vauxhall, Nissan, Toyota , Rover and Honda.
The firm is to hold an open day at the factory between 9am and 1pm on Saturday to allow prospective employees the chance to look around the department.
