IF J B Beck (Letters, September 16) is getting at me for opposing a random breath testing, please let me put the record straight.
It is not random testing per se that I object to, but the fact is is not permitted by law yet practised by Lancashire Constabulary.
It might be pertinent to note that in my last letter to you I invited the Chief Constable to state through your columns that what she authorised was in fact within the law. So far, the silence is deafening!
