A SPECIALIST firm has framed a major order from the Far East.
Fine art publisher Global Arts, of Glenfield Park, Blackburn has won the £10,000-plus contract from a firm in Japan.
Now managing director Steven Baron is confident the firm can increase sales to the country to £100,000 over the next 12 months.
The latest order was won with help from British Trade International, a Government-backed export promotion body.
"I have visited Japan in each of the last three years on a DTI-supported trade mission," said Mr Baron.
Global Arts also manufactures framed pictures.
"The commercial staff at the British embassy in Japan are most helpful and organised a programme of visits on my behalf to maximise my time there," he said.
"It is very important to have appointments running smoothly and you really need help with this using local knowledge."
