BAMBER Bridge are through to the next round of the FA Cup after a mixed week of tournament action.
After drawing 2-2 against Trafford at Shawe View on Saturday, Brig came from behind to win 2-1 on Tuesday at Irongate.
Goals from Ian Vickers and Pete Smith ensured Brig's victory, and a tie against Morpeth in the next round.
This weekend, Brig are at home to Frickley in the UniBond Premier League, where a win is a must if Brig are to continue their push up the table.
But despite their cup success, manager Tony Greenwood is continuing to look around for new talent for his side.
Last week Greenwood was confident of getting the signatures of two UniBond players, but as yet nothing has been confirmed, primarily because fees are involved for both players.
Midfielder Colin Potts, from Chorley, is the latest name to be linked with a move to Irongate. He has overcome injury and looks to be surplus to requirements at Victory Park.
