I THINK I have found the council's latest idea to stop people driving into Lancaster... Caton Road sorry I mean track. For many people this stretch of road is the first part of Lancaster they encounter, what a great impression it must set.
From leaving the M6 until they reach the eyesore of the old bus depot/baths the road is a continuous stretch of pot holes and ditches.
Where attempts to repair the road have been carried out there are now lumps of Tarmac that appear to have just been dumped into the original hole with no attempt to level them. Why instead of spending millions on a new bridge that will mainly be used by the lentil eating brigade that are determined to see everybody either walking or riding bikes, don't we use some of the cash to relay this gateway into our fine city, so that visitors can arrive with their cars in one piece.
If it makes people happier we could always rename the road as the Princess Diana Memorial way!
