GIANT puppets have taken to the stage for a fun-packed fund-raiser in aid of poorly Leigh two year-old Johnathan Parr's hospital appeal.
Funds from the show will go to "Little Johnie's Appeal" to boost facilities at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital where he received life-saving treatment on a brain tumour.
The concert at X11 Apostles Social Club featured the spectacular Leigh-based Gluvets (pictured) whose Muppet-like variety show has won national acclaim and TV fame.
Seven foot tall Gozar and Beazley fronted the show which featured nine large hand operated Gluvets (out of a total of 200 possibilities), individual voices, mime and music plus a good deal of audience participation.
