AFTER seven months of waiting for an appointment at the ear, nose and throat clinic, the medical records officer at Bury General Hospital wrote to me asking if I wished to remain on the outpatients list after she had cancelled the first appointment (for which I waited three months).
A further four months were then added, making a total waiting time of seven months. I was also asked to fill in a questionnaire on why I wanted to remain on the list. I have been referred by my GP because of a nose problem.
If this is a National Health Service it will be hard luck if the condition is life-threatening.
