THERE are some 'Odd' goings-on down at St Joseph's Players this week.
And it's all down to Katherine Roberts and 'partner-in-grime' Pauline Nevell.
They are "The Odd Couple" in Neil Simon's riotous and sometimes raunchy New York comedy, cleverly directed by Doreen Johnson.
The play is a remarkable re-writing of the famous 60s movie starring Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon. Then the focus was on six men playing poker, now it's six women playing a turbulent game of Trivial Pursuits.
Keeping up the non-stop laughter in a tale of food, amorous intentions and penguins are Joan Doorey, Joanna Yates, Donna Wood and Clare Nash.
And look out for a touch of Spanish highs from Davids Farrell and Hodgkinson.
Lots of run! The show ends a four-night run tomorrow (Friday).
Next month St Joseph's Players are staging the tense World War One drama "Accrington Pals" (October 12-15).
Tickets for both plays are available at Boardman's on Bradshawgate, Leigh. Or you can pay at the door.
