PASSENGERS face a brighter future on the public transport network after a high-profile meeting on Monday.
That's according to transport minister Keith Hill, when he met with bus and train operators in Preston to discuss the transport policies.
Included in the meeting was a demand for the operators to provide customers with a top class, integrated service.
And Mr Hill also promised that money would continue to be pumped into providing rural bus services.
He said: "Lancashire is working hard towards an integrated transport network, as the pioneering single information line proves, as it answers queries on buses, trains and trams with one phone call.
"Today's meeting is an important step forward in addressing the transport needs of the area and I am keen to discuss these issues with the people on the ground."
