CHILDREN in schools across the Fylde are being asked to nominate their favourite feathered friend as part of the world's biggest birdwatching event.
Schools World Birdwatch runs from September 27 to October 1 and children throughout the country taking part will have a chance to win a Viglen multi-media PC and Bird feeding equipment.
Students draw up a list of the birds which use their grounds during the week.
They then hold a special assembly on October 1 to vote on their favourite bird.
Schools can register with the RSPB regional office, Westleigh Mews, Wakefield Road, Denby Dale, Huddersfield, HU8 8QD or call (01484) 861148.
