ST HELENS racing cyclists have hit a winning streak.
Chris Burrows, riding for New Brighton CC, sprinted to a gutsy victory ahead of a 60-strong field in the Lincoln Under 22 road race.
Chris covered the 80 miles in 3-05-12 after he had been allowed to ride in the event following the cancellation of another race.
Meanwhile, Rainford student Edmund Leary enjoyed a comfortable win in the Ashbourne Cup for juniors at Darley Moor in Derbyshire.
Edmund (17) who rides for Chester RC/Team Lease Direct, rode clear of his companion in a two-man break with three miles to go and came home well clear.
And Neil Martlew of St Helens CRC gained fourth spot in a Liverpool Century road race at Clieves Hill near Ormskirk.
