MORECAMBE'S Midland Hotel is still on the market awaiting a buyer.
The £1.5 million art deco landmark remains open to offers despite claims that it has been sold subject to contract in August.
The sale of the hot el has been thrown into question following the discovery of the Eric Gill relief sculpture.
The sculpture is currently being secured, piece by piece, at the hotel but the administrators insist that the Midland is still up for sale.
"We remain open to offers," said Mr Gary Phillips of Sills and Betteridge.
"There has been some new interest and we received a call from a prospective buyer only this week."
