AMERICAN basketball stars of the Chester Jets will be demonstrating their skills and techniques at the Safeway Store, Chalon Way on Saturday, September 25 from 10am to noon. There will also be fun competitions with prizes for the kids - and their parents.
This week the players have been visiting a number of primary schools in the borough to talk about their lives in America and how they became basketball stars.
The event has been organised in partnership between St Helens Council, Safeway, Sunny D and the English Basketball Association. It is part of a council initiative to support the development of basketball in the borough. Posts have been installed at Kentmere and Victoria Parks and are soon to be installed at Mesnes Park.
