FOUR brave Leigh men are to perform the FULL Monty - to raise money for charity.
The mystery quartet, who are aiming to keep their identity secret until the night, are taking professional dance classes to sharpen up their stripping routine.
The ladies' only night, to raise money for Mencap, will take place at Leigh Miners on November 27.
Plans started through mum-of-six Karen Orrell, 33, of Knowsley Street, Leigh, who next March is aiming to trek through Pategonia, with a party of fellow fundraisers, to help boost finance for the organisation.
The charity is close to home for Karen, who has an autistic 11-years-old son, Lee, a pupil at Two Porches, Atherton.
She said a group of friends were discussing cash generating plans in the Spinners, Firs Lane, when the idea was conceived.
Eventually a fearsome foursome was found, and they include a real life security guard, sheetmetal worker, painter and decorator and builder.
And they range from 5ft 5in to 6ft 7in in height.
Now the men, whose routine is being choreographed by the Apple Dance Centre, are looking for a firm to loan them security guard jackets and hats for their one night stand.
Karen said: "The lads are really taking it seriously and hope to reproduce the scene from the award winning film. The night should be a laugh for the ladies. We hope to raise a lot of money."
Tickets at £10 each are available from Jefferies Printers, Sainsburys and Cannings and include a disco, buffet and female comedienne.
