COUNTRY music fans are being given the chance to learn about the history of the popular musical genre.
Long-time fan Terry Siner from Billinge is holding a 10-week course at Cowley High School, with the backing of Liverpool University's Centre for Continuing Education, in which he will attempt to share his extensive knowledge and love of country music with students.
Terry makes regular visits to Austin, Texas and country and western 'mecca', Nashville, to keep in touch with the latest developments in both mainstream and alternative country.
The weekly course starts on Tuesday, October 5 from 7 to 9pm at Cowley High and the fee is £32 with a reduction for pensioners, students and people on benefits. You can enrol at the first meeting or in advance by phoning the university on 0151 794 2519/6900.
