MOTHER-of-two Carolyn Wolstenholme will have her dream come true riding pillion on a Harley Davidson thanks to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
Barry Dunnett, of Droylsden, a member of the Harley Davidson Motorbike Owners' Club based in Manchester, responded to a plea made by organisers of tomorrow's Rossendale Valley Motorbike Show for a Harley for Carolyn.
Carolyn, 55, of Laneside, Haslingden, had polio as a child and has always dreamed of riding on the back of a motorbike.
Volunteer co-ordinator for the bike show Susan Troughton set about turning her wish into a reality, but the person who promised a Harley had to back out at the last minute.
Now Barry has stepped in Susan and Carolyn are delighted.
And Susan's second appeal, for marshals to help on the day, has also reaped rewards with an extra five volunteers contacting her as soon as the Lancashire Evening Telegraph printed the plea.
Susan said: "I am grateful to everyone who has volunteered so far but I still need more marshals. They will be responsible for diverting traffic, helping to set up the show, cleaning up afterwards and guiding visitors.
"Anyone who can assist on the day can contact me on 01706 215356."
Carolyn will be taking part in the 1,000 bike ride-in from Winfields, in Haslingden, to Rawtenstall town centre.
She will be accompanied by celebrities including Tyrone from Coronation Street, Alan Turner from Emmerdale and show opener Page Three model Tracey Coleman.
The bike show will fill the town centre with attractions including stunts at Newhallhey Cricket Ground, British Arm Wrestling Championships, a mammoth barbecue at Asda with managers cooking the food, mini-moto racing on the car park, more than 150 trade stands, the Wall of Fear and a tattoo competition in the Astoria.
