PER Frandsen is a man who prefers to do his talking on the pitch, so the Danish midfielder was a little reticent to blow his own trumpet after a superb debut in Rovers' win over Walsall at Ewood on Saturday.
Frandsen looked a class act who hardly needed to break sweat against the journeymen of Walsall.
But the defensive system adopted by the visitors meant a slight change from his normal Bolton role.
"It was nice to have my first game that's for sure," said Frandsen.
"And they were all in their own half so the gaffer told me to go a little bit further forward.
"There was so much space, so it was a little bit different from Bolton.
"But I think it was okay. We created so many chances and the defence played very well.
"I don't think they had a chance and we can only be happy.
"But, to be honest, I don't think they were such a good team."
It could have proved a frustrating afternoon for Rovers as yet another side came to Ewood to defend but Frandsen helped break down Walsall and was desperately unlucky not to score himself in the second half.
"It's always difficult when they have 11 in their own half, so it was important to score the two goals in the first half," he said.
"We won 2-0 and that was the most important thing.
"It was what I expected. It was a bit of a different style of playing to what I am used to, but they are very good players here."
