SCHOOLS in East Lancashire were sitting on millions of pounds in reserves despite widespread pleas of poverty.
Figures revealed to Lancashire County Council's education committee showed that a whopping £33 million was lying unspent in school budgets.
Mansfield High in Brierfield had almost half a million pounds in reserves.
