POLICE are hunting attackers who chased a young Asian man and slashed his arm.
The 24-year-old victim needed 22 stitches in the wound after the 4am attack in Oswald Street, Stoneyholme, Burnley.
The assault occurred on September 18, but was only reported to police at the weekend. The man told police he and a friend were walking along March Street when they were subjected to racial abuse by several people and chased along Oswald Street. The man was treated at Burnley General Hospital.
Police, who are not naming the victim, are appealing for witnesses.
