A FORMER pupil of Clitheroe Royal Grammar School for Boys currently compiling his memoirs is trying to make contact with an old schoolfriend.
Ian Parsons, 62, lives in Brampton, Cumbria, but grew up in Accrington and attended the Clitheroe school in the 1950s.
He became friendly with a girl called Ruth Pearson, of Somerset Avenue, Wilpshire, who attended the nearby Clitheroe Royal Grammar School for Girls.
The pair became firm friends, but lost touch after leaving school and going their separate ways.
Now he is looking for help in tracing his former friend, who he described as an "absolutely lovely girl," and was inspired to renew contact with after starting to write his memoirs.
If you can help, please contact Mr Parsons at Far Hills, Capon Tree Road, Brampton, Cumbria.
