RAT catchers were called to a hospital after vermin were spotted near mothers and new-born babies.
Horrified night nurses in the maternity department at Queen's Park Hospital, Blackburn, spotted a rat and sought urgent action. Vermin experts were called to kill the animal and managers believed the problem had been solved.
