AN 88-year-old woman who fell to her death from the town centre roof top car park in Brown Street has been named. Alice Harper, a widow, of Lamlash Road, Blackburn, was seen getting out of a taxi and walking up stairs close to the market at about 7am on Wednesday.
She suffered multiple injuries and died two hours later in Blackburn Royal Infirmary. Police say there were no suspicious circumstances. An inquest into the death has been opened an adjourned until November 16.
