STAFF at Preston's £-Stretcher store threw a party in the car park to help raise funds for St Catherine's Hospice.
The event, which included a disco, refreshments and Play Your Cards Right, reaped in more than £200 for the Lostock Hall centre.
£-Stretcher manager Danny Gallagher said: "It was a very successful day and the customers didn't hesitate to take part.
"We also charged drivers 10p to park in our car park, which is usually free for a limited period - which all went to St Cath's." Customers also got the chance to buy raffle tickets for a draw with a top prize of a Rover 600, donated by SGL.
£-Stretcher is now planning to hold a similar charity fun day next month, in aid of the store's nominated charity the NSPCC.
