A 14-YEAR-OLD youth was assaulted by a cyclist who verbally abused him and his friends.
The incident occurred opposite the Free Methodist Church in Lightfoot Lane, Fulwood, around 7.45pm on Friday, September 24.
The victim was deserted by his friends after the cyclist let loose with a barrage of abuse at the group.
He then got off his bike and punched the boy in the face, bruising his eye and chipping a tooth.
The attacker is described as a white man in his 40s with yellow teeth, was 5ft 6ins and thin, wearing glasses, black Lycra tights and a blue metallic helmet.
He was carrying a black rucksack with yellow, luminous marks on it and was riding a yellow racing cycle with distinctive green tyres.
