PRESTON Curling Club's Patrick Brown won the Gray Trophy as they kicked off their new season at Lockerbie.
The two new captains for this season started off well enough, with both Patrick and David Hills winning their first games and being paired together in the second round.
Patrick's team of Phil Atherton, Frank Kershaw and David Gardener scored 12 shots against David, nine of them in the first three ends.
David's rink then replied with one shot on each of the next four ends, only for Patrick to clean up with win by 8 clear shots.
David said: "We played out best shots when we were too far behind.
