IN the past few weeks I have had occasion to use my local bank in the town centre. On leaving the bank on the way out I always hold the door open for people who are coming in on every occasion, not one person, young or old, male or female said thanks.
Where are these people's manners? It doesn't cost much to say thanks does it, or am I a dying breed?
I would like to remind these people that civility costs nothing but means a lot.
