CHAMPAGNE and strawberries, plenty of guests and an abundance of flowers - the only way to celebrate your centenary in style.
At least it was for Pollie Fallon, at Swillbrook House Residential Home in Rosemary Lane, Bartle.
Staff at the home threw a grand bash for the Lancashire lass, originally from Rochdale.
Pollie, pictured, was visited by her four surviving relatives - all great nieces and nephews, who Pollie brought up herself when their parents died.
Diane Day, senior care assistant at the home said: "Pollie took the children in when she was in her 70s to stop them from being split up.
"She gets about on her own and does marvellously for her age really. Pollie has been with us for 15 years so all of the relatives of other people at the home have come to know her.
"We invited them all to the party and there were around 50 people here on the day.
"She was inundated with flowers and presents. Everyone that comes here stope for a chat with her."
