AN award winning Leigh company is in line for another trophy. Fastech Testing has been shortlisted as a finalist in the 1999 Personnel Today Awards.
The team will be up against two other shortlisted entries for the Partnerships With People Award. The Brewery Lane-based firm, which is one of the biggest independent textile testing laboratories in the UK, is in contention because of its innovative approach to developing employees.
Fastech, which was formed in 1989, has never employed sales people.
It has grown from its reputation for delivering quality products in a shorter time than competitors.
It operates a 24 hour service and keeps its workers happy.
Staff have feedback days, fun days, leisure facilities on site and a host of other innovations which have led to zero labour turnover this year.
A company spokesperson said: "That's a mark of employee satisfaction if ever it was needed."
The team will travel to the London Hilton in November for a presentation dinner when the winners will be announced.
