A CLEVELEYS woman has turned to the Citizen to help find her long lost friend.
Vivienne Mather, of Hermon Avenue, spotted the picture of her old friend Margaret Joyce, who was enjoying a reunion with other stewardesses at Blackpool Airport in the Citizen on September 2.
Now Vivienne, 61, wants to turn back the clock and relive some of the happy times they shared.
Vivienne said: "I recognised Margaret the split second I saw her photograph.
"We were nurses together on the children's ward of the Blackpool Victoria hospital and then from there we shared an apartment together on Lytham Road.
"But I went to America to work in 1965 and when I returned to Britain ten years later I tried to find her but couldn't.
"All I knew is that at some point she went to London and we lost touch.
"I remember I was there the day she went for the interview to become a stewardess and she was unsure whether or not she would get it.
"Seeing the photograph brought so many memories back and I would love to get back in touch with her.
"We had a lot of fun together, especially in the 18 months we shared the apartment, going out and having parties. But I just want to know how she is, what she's been doing and what she's up to now."
Margaret, or anyone who knows of her whereabouts, can contact Vivienne on (01253) 825097.
