HOLLYWOOD stardom could be beckoning for a St Annes businessman who runs an agency inventing alibis for cheating partners.

"Rockin" Ron Brock who runs the Alibi Agency told the Citizen he has been offered a film deal for a comedy based on the plight of a client using the service.

It is hoped it may feature Dumb and Dumber star Jim Carrey and contract negotiations are currently taking place with film producers in Los Angeles.

Ron says: "The potential for comedy from a situation involving an agency like ours is enormous.

"We have already sold the idea and are now working on the script.

"I would like to have a hand in writing the script and would love to play a role in the film myself.

"I am used to performing, having worked with celebrities for a long time and am sure I would be a success."

The news of possible movie stardom comes soon after clinching a deal to sell a franchise of the agency in Argentina.

Ron who has recently recorded music with glam rockers Slade has already penned a song I'll Lie For You Argentina to promote the franchise.

He said: "Demand for the service is incredible. We have just opened new offices in Blackpool and taken on more people to cope with all the calls we receive.

"People all over the world have heard about us from the Internet.

"We have had enquiries from Europe, Japan and South Africa seeking franchises.

"It is fantastic to be expanding overseas and a film deal will be the icing on the cake."
