EASTERN philosophies have really hit the spot for some Fylde folk.
Patients and trainees at the Northern Institute of Oriental Medicine, St Annes, were set on the healing course in May by leading expert in alternative medicine Professor Zhao of Beijing.
And now the top training director from the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine has once again travelled thousands of miles to see how his students in Chinese massage and acupuncture are progressing.
Proprietor of the Institute on St Albans Road, John Brazier, told the Citizen: "Professor Zhao first came in May just after we opened and set us on the right path.
"And now's he's back to finish off the course and tie up the loose ends etc. He's extremely happy with the excellent progress the students have made. And now our therapists will be fully qualified accupuncturists and masseurs with full certification from the Academy.
"I intend to travel back to China in November with new students and there are still some places available if anyone is interested." Members of the public can also benefit from the Professor's visit with appointments available with the healing master for just £10.
John added: "At this time of year a lot of damp syndrome complaints appear such as insomnia, pain and heaviness so this is an excellent opportunity to give this treatment a try."
Professor Zhao will be diagnosing and treating patients with the 3000 year old remedies until October 24 and anyone interested can call the Institute on (01253) 728035.
