VOLUNTEERS are being sought for the Caring Neighbourhood Scheme which aims to support vulnerable and socially isolated people.
Organisations participating in the scheme can offer volunteers training, ongoing support and expenses. There are also volunteer opportunities involving administration, computing, fund-raising, driving, conservation and retail.
A spokesman said: "Many people find volunteering a good way of learning new skills, gaining employment, making new friends and enhancing their social skills. So if you have time to spare, why not consider putting it to good use?" For more details call Rose or Juliet 63760.
