WORK started this week on the £60,000 refurbishment of Marks & Spencer's store in Church Street.
The St Helens branch is one of more than 100 M&S stores across the country to undergo an internal modernisation programme. The refurbished store will feature a wooden floored area, additional space between merchandise, a new customer ordering suite and refurbished luxury fitting rooms.
The changes are expected to be completed by October 4 in time to showcase the store's new autumn range. Store manager, Heather Lamming, said: "We will have a new-look store, new merchandise and a bigger range for autumn than ever before."
