MONTHS of hard work and planning will go up in smoke on Saturday (Oct 2) at Radcliffe Round Table's annual bonfire spectacular at Close Park.
Gates will open at 6pm and the Mayor of Bury, Councillor John Costello, will light the bonfire at 7pm.
Stalls will offer the traditional fayre and there will be additional entertainment courtesy of the Radio Lollipop Roadshow.
The highlight of the charity event will be a huge pyrotechnic display with hundreds of pounds worth of fireworks lighting up the night sky.
Local companies with spare wood can take it to the bonfire on Saturday morning.
