THE son of former Blackburn snooker world champion Dennis Taylor has been charged with offences relating to the driving charges facing ex Rovers star Gary Croft.
Damian Taylor, of Beardwood Meadow, Blackburn, will appear before Ipswich Magistrates on Friday, October 29. He was charged last Friday.
The 26-year-old assistant professional at Accrington Golf Club is currently on bail after being questioned by officers at Ipswich police station.
He is a friend of Croft and the pair lived near each other before the full back moved to Suffolk in a £540,000 deal in September.
Today's revelation comes just days after Croft spent a night in police cells before appearing at Ipswich Magistrates Court charged with three counts of driving while disqualified with no insurance.
He was also accused of giving police officers false details after being stopped in his black M3 convertible BMW.
Croft was bailed until Friday, November 12, on condition he should make no attempt to drive his car. A further condition was that the £40,000 car must be kept in the custody of the Ipswich manager.
